One animated strip. Every announcement, everywhere.
The TranslaStars Ticker is a marquee announcement bar that shows your latest news, upcoming events, promo codes, job offers, blog posts, notifications and audio releases in a single animated strip at the top of your page. It was built by TranslaStars and has been running in production on a high-traffic site since August 2026 (v2.4.2).
It works on any website where you can paste HTML or JavaScript: LearnWorlds, WordPress, Shopify, plain HTML, Vercel, anything.
Why a ticker instead of a banner?
Static banners are easy to ignore. A slow, continuous marquee with live content keeps your key announcements in front of visitors without taking over the page. It works for small newsletters and large training platforms alike.
What you get
- Ultra-slow marquee (150s default) with 8 sections: Notes, Promos, Jobs, News, Blog, Courses, Stats and Audio.
- Own admin panel (ticker-admin.html): manage notifications, manage promo codes, and enable or disable sections for all visitors from the browser. No code edits, no redeploys.
- Promos section: promo codes managed from the admin appear in the strip with badges and a copy button, linking to your official promos page.
- Audio section: new audio tracks show with their English title, language flags and an Available in label when a track exists in several languages.
- Draggable strip (v2.4.0): drag with mouse or finger to re-read a news item that already passed.
- Fixed top position: stays visible while scrolling.
- Live clock + LAST UPDATED: the visitor's local time plus the Europe/Madrid timestamp of the last data regeneration.
- Close button + floating reopen button: per-visitor close state remembered in localStorage.
- Public JSON API (CORS enabled): works with Cloudflare R2, Vercel or any static JSON URL.
- Fully customizable: colors, speed, font and section order via a JS config object.
How it works
The Ticker loads its content from a public JSON API. You point the snippet at your own data source, paste it into your site's custom code box, and the strip appears. The included admin panel lets you manage everything from the browser.
Built for real production use
Every feature in this guide reflects what actually ships in the product, including the admin panel, the language flags for audio, and the LearnWorlds-specific fixes. No prototype features, no placeholder copy.
