This Privacy Policy explains how TranslaStars ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the TranslaStars Skills Store (the "Store"). By using the Store you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the Store:

• Account data: your email address when you sign in with a magic link.
• Seller data: if you become a seller, your name, bio, website, country and fiscal details (legal name, tax ID, fiscal address). Fiscal details are required so we can issue payout records and you can invoice us.
• Purchase data: records of the skills you buy, the price paid, and the coupon code used (if any).
• Reviews: the rating and comment you submit for a skill you bought.
• Support messages: the name, email and message you send through our contact form.
• Usage data: anonymized analytics (pages visited, device type, country) through Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service. No cookies are used for tracking.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, and we only receive the outcome of the payment and the email you used at checkout.

3. How we use your information

• To authenticate you and manage your account.
• To process purchases and grant access to the skills you buy.
• To calculate seller wallet balances, escrow and payouts.
• To send transactional emails (magic links, purchase receipts, sale notifications).
• To improve the Store through anonymized analytics.
• To respond to support requests.

4. Where we store data

Our infrastructure runs on Vercel (application hosting) and Cloudflare R2 (secure object storage in the European Union). Emails are sent through Mailjet. Each provider processes data only to provide its service to us.

5. Cookies and local storage

The Store does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

6. Data retention

We keep account and purchase records while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax and accounting obligations (in particular, payout and invoice records). You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@translastars.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.
